Seventy years ago, when I was in high school, I came into Boston to do research for my term papers at the BPL in Copley Square. Now that I'm an old lady, I'm happy to live about a block from the Roslindale branch, where I can pick up novels I've put on hold, saving me from traveling to the branches where they are shelved; enjoy the art exhibits on display in the meeting room; smile at the little kids who have come for storytime with Miss Celeste; and help the Friends of the Library organize the used book sales. The BPL has been a significant part of my life for a long time!
